Backed is built for security professionals — armed and unarmed — and the companies that employ them. But the protection works for anyone who wants it in their corner, and it’s yours to keep: if you change jobs or leave the security field entirely, your membership and your protection stay with you.
Protection is for lawful, good-faith conduct under applicable local, state, and federal law. Where an activity itself requires a license or permit — for example, carrying a firearm — you must hold it and stay within its terms, and, while you’re working, act within your employer’s lawful policies. It does not extend to intentional, criminal, fraudulent, or grossly negligent acts, or to activities you aren’t licensed or permitted to perform.
